Beautiful pictures in this post - those "steaks" look delicious. My go-to dinner party meal is a recipe from the Victoria-based restaurant Rebar's fantastic cookbook: Rebar Linguine. It is simple to make, full of delicious roasted vegetables, always a crowd-pleaser and has few dishes to clean afterwards!

I think roasted veg tagine with couscous is perfect, b/c it allows for so many different variations-- vegetarian with chickpeas or spiced yogurt; meaty with chicken, lamb or beef; shrimp, etc. The recipes you've shared here are lovely as well, and I can't wait to check out this cookbook!

What a wonderful pairing. I would totally make this for a dinner party or order it out at a restaurant. My go-to dinner party dish is some kind of make-ahead curry or North African stew. I enjoy the party more when I keep last-minute cooking to a bare minimum.

This recipe looks really nice. Another great article and the cookbook looks like a great one.
My go to dinner party recipe depends on the season. Summer: Roasted Corn timbale with vanilla bean and balsamic vinaigrette. Fall/winter is a leek, mushroom and boursin tart with duck eggs and balsamic glaze.
And of course a signature cocktail of some sort.
