I used to have to tell my son to stop playing on his tablet, but now he just follows the smell of butter into the kitchen. Making a mess while baking is way more fun than looking at a screen. It doesn't matter if we get flour on our clothes or accidentally drop a piece of eggshell into the bowl because that is all part of the fun. I have 19 cookie recipes that are perfect for helping kids learn to make things themselves. We do not care if the cookies look perfect; we just love spending time together while they bake.
