Get to know me better: Food Bloggers of Canada and June Mango feature

In the past weeks, both Food Bloggers of Canada and June Mango have published features on this little space. So here's your chance to get to know me better!

Hey friends! I interrupt our usual Monday routine of drinking copious amounts of coffee and trying to keep my eyes open long enough to pack my lunch in order to share a little bit more about myself with you. So if you've always wondered what makes me tick, what I love and hate about blogging, and what colour are my underwear, here's your chance to get to know me better.

Though the colour of my underwear may remain a mystery.

Graphic work by June Mango.

Last week, one of my favourite graphic artists and web designers, Kali of June Mango, honoured me by publishing a feature where I discuss inspiration, my usual day routine and my favourite colour (which may or may not be the colour of my underwear).

And she made it look really good.

I first got to know Kali through the Being Boss community on Facebook. This community is home to a vibrant, diverse group of opinionated women who are trying to make their way in the creative industry not by elbowing each other, but by exchanging opinions and offering our hands in help any chance we get. I love the chance Being Boss gives me to become a better artist, writer and entrepreneur, and I love it even more for helping me discover new artisans, graphic artists and other kick-ass women.

And if that wasn't awesome enough, on Friday Food Bloggers of Canada decided to shine further light on the creative process here - which usually includes copious amounts of coffee, eating cake for breakfast and writing in my pyjamas - by making me their FBC Featured Member of the day.

Food Bloggers of Canada is how I got my second sponsorship. It's how I learned to make my site leaner. It's how I discovered the food and wine of the Niagara valley. It's how I get inspired by other Canadian bloggers. And it's how I find better ways of doing what I love, every day.

So on the off chance you're someone other than my mom who's reading this, and you've always wondered how this food blogger thinks, check out these two profiles.

Or just go continue with your Monday routine. In any case, I feel like we'll be closer afterwards.

        Hi Ksenia,
I found your blog last night and then I saw your new post today and I couldn't have found your blog at a more meaningful time for myself. I started my blog about a month ago and I have been looking to find other bloggers who are interested in creativity and self expression. I love creating food and sharing recipes, but what I love even more is inspiring others to create and express themselves in perhaps new and deeper ways. So, finding your blog today of all days was bashert. I loved reading more about you and your drive to create. Looking forward to more!

Ok, the fact you used the word bashert in your post has already won me over. I look forward to getting to know you and your blog better! Best of luck on your creative journey!!
